Komponen Penting pada UTM

  • Load Frame : The robust metal structure (usually in a dual-column or single-column design) that provides the stability to apply high forces. It consists of a base and a crosshead that moves.

  • Load Cell : The “heart” of the measurement system. This highly accurate sensor measures the force applied to the specimen. It is typically located in the moving crosshead or the base.

  • Actuator : The mechanism that moves the crosshead. In electromechanical UTMs, a servo motor and ball screw drive provide precise control. In hydraulic UTMs, hydraulic pistons are used for very high-force applications.

  • Grips and Fixtures : These hold the specimen. They are interchangeable and specific to the test and material (e.g., wedge grips for tensile tests, compression plates, bend fixtures, etc.).

  • Extensometer : A critical accessory that directly measures the elongation or strain of the specimen with high precision. While crosshead movement can give an estimate, an extensometer provides the most accurate strain data for calculating modulus of elasticity (Young’s Modulus).

  • Control System & Software : The computer and software are what make the modern UTM so powerful. They:

        • Control the test parameters (speed, load limits).

        • Acquire data from the load cell and extensometer.

        • Display the test in real-time (force vs. displacement).

        • Analyze results (yield strength, ultimate strength, elongation, modulus, etc.).

        • Generate detailed test reports.

The DI-CP/V2 model, which is part of the PRO series, has been designed to perform tensile, compression,bend/flex and shear testing, with nominal capacities between 400 and 2000 kN. Tension is always tested using the hydraulic grips, located in lower area, and compression in the upper test area.

Each machine includes HoyWin® test control software, and our custom designed electronics. This enables users to extract maximum performance and precision, through a simple and intuitive interface.
