Reduce energy consumption and increase heat-up time with Thermo Scientific™ Thermolyne™ Benchtop Muffle Furnaces. The furnace is ideal for ashing most types of organic and inorganic samples, heat treating small steel parts, performing ignition tests and conducting gravimetric analysis, as well as for the determination of volatile and suspended solids.

  • Available in two capacities

  • Digital single setpoint temperature control to 1100°C

  • Single display shows actual temperature or setpoint

  • Ceramic fiber insulation permits faster heatup, reducing energy consumption

  • Embedded heating element on top and both sides improves temperature uniformity

  • Drop-down door doubles as a shelf for loading and unloading

  • Door safety switch stops power to heating elements when door is opened

  • Thermocouple break protection cuts power to heating elements, preventing a thermocouple failure runaway condition

  • 0.95cm (0.38in.) dia. port in chamber rear for monitoring temperatures with independent measuring devices

Choice of Temperature Controllers 

Thermo Scientific Benchtop Muffle Furnaces are available in four temperature controller models.

 A1 : Digital single set point control. Single display shows actual temperature or set point.

B1 : Digital single set point control with a single ramp to set point and a dwell.

        Single display shows actual temperature or set point.

        Furnaces with this control also use a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay.

C1 : Digital programmable control with 1 stored program of 8 segments.

        Furnaces with this control also use a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay.

D1 : Digital programmable control with 4 stored programs, 16 segments per program.

        Also includes RS-232 communications.Furnaces with this control also use a mechanical Over Temperature                            Protection relay.
