Product Detail 

The Thermo Scientific Thermolyne Benchtop Muffle Furnace is ideal for general laboratory use, including gravimetric analysis, sintering, quantitative analysis and heat treating. It reaches a 1200°C maximum temperature and is available in two capacities for added flexibility. The built-in vent port removes contaminants and moisture to extend the life of the heating element and furnace.

  • Includes the A1 Digital Controller.

  • Single setpoint to hold a specified temperature.

  • Single display shows the actual temperature or setpoint.

  • Includes ceramic shelf (SH480X1) that doubles furnace load capacity

  • For added protection, the door safety switch stops power to heating elements when door opens

  • Thermocouple break protection cuts power to heating elements, preventing a thermocouple failure runaway condition

  • Two open coil heating elements on chamber sides assure fast heat-up with minimum temperature gradient

  • Thermal-efficient ceramic insulation surrounds chamber for maximum energy efficiency

  • Includes a 0.38-inch diameter port for monitoring chamber temperatures with independent measuring device at rear of chamber

Choice of Temperature Controllers

Thermo Scientific Benchtop Muffle Furnaces are available in four temperature controller models.

A1: Digital single set point control. Single display shows actual temperature or set point.

B1: Digital single set point control with a single ramp to set point and a dwell.

       Single display shows actual temperature or set point.

       Furnaces with this control also use a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay.

C1: Digital programmable control with 1 stored program of 8 segments.

       Furnaces with this control also use a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay.

D1: Digital programmable control with 4 stored programs, 16 segments per program. Also includes RS-232 communications.Furnaces with this control also use a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay.
