Akron Abrader is to rub the sample and the grinding wheel under a certain inclination angle and a certain load to determine the abrasion index by compared with standard rubber. Akron abrasion test method includes BS 903 A9, GB/T 1689, JIS-K6264, astm and etc.
The Akron Abrasion Tester is used to determine wear resistance of vulcanized rubber and elastic material products, like shoes sole, tires, vehicle tracks, by measuring its wear volume caused by rubbing between specimen and sandwheel.
